UNDERSTANDING THE NEEDS
Innovating Assisted Technology
We understand that each of our tenants have different needs, which is why we implement some of the most innovative assistive technology in all of our properties. Acura Living prides itself on providing a living experience with a human approach, and our team of experts in property and social care understand that providing suitable homes for the more vulnerable, is more than just providing a place for them to rest their head.
Staff Protection
Our staff are at the heart of our operation, and we make sure that they are always protected.
Fire Alarm Mitigation
We mitigate the risk of fire alarms being triggered through a range of different strategies.
Epilepsy Sensors
Our homes use state of the art sensors to monitor individuals with Epilepsy, during sleep. The technology is able to detect movement, and is advanced enough to detect normal movement from a seizure.
Fall Detection
We aim to minimise the risk of injuries relating to falls by using devices that can detect when someone suddenly changes position as a result of falling. The device is able to call for assistance, even if the person is unable to do so themselves, and prompts an emergency response
Door and Window Sensors
Door and Window sensors are very similar in design and usage. They are typically triggered when a door or window gets opened when they are not meant to be. Sensors on both doors and windows ensure an extra layer of security for the people living in our homes.
Bed Occupancy Solutions
We have a range of Bed Occupancy Solutions in place, making sure our tenants are where they’re supposed to be, giving you that extra peace of mind.
Manual Call Buttons
We use call buttons to help provide some extra peace of mind. Occupants can use their call button whenever they are in need of immediate assistance. They are simple and easy to use, meaning that our occupants can remain safe and independent in their home.
Protective Headwear that Looks Good!
We offer a range of Headwear that is designed to be functional while still looking good. They are designed for people who are at a higher risk of suffering from a head injury, and they can help those with disabilities, like epilepsy, protect their head from unexpected impact.
What they say
‘The apartments are of excellent quality, with the highest environmentally-friendly ratings. The management are professional, approachable and very hands on. This is what gets the job done and means that the most vulnerable people living in our communities are able have an affordable home. The most recent project is not just a group of apartments, but life changing accommodation some of which is bariatric wheelchair accessible. We just have not been able to
get this level of commitment from anywhere else.’
Manny – Previous Commissioner of Telford & Wrekin

They have worked closely with the Local Authority to really understand people we support with ASD and made some significant adaptation to the living spaces.’
